Brooke Glen’s Extended Acute Care (EAC) unit’s philosophy will focus on providing services to consumers in a collaborative therapeutic setting that is focused on recovery. The Recovery Model at Brooke Glen’s EAC program focuses on recovery instead of stabilization; on individual’s strengths instead of deficiencies; on connections to the community instead of to the treatment system; and on the individual taking an active part in his or her treatment instead of regimes mandated by treatment authorities.
Patients stay on our EAC for approximately 3-6 months or more depending on the recommendation of their treatment team.
